Policies
1. Editorial Policy
The BJEPS Editorial Board maintains rigorous oversight of the academic quality. Each submission undergoes a preliminary screening to ensure it aligns with the journal’s scope and formal requirements. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the expected scientific or ethical standards before entering the peer-review stage.
2. Open Access Policy
BJEPS is a Gold Open Access journal. We believe that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are accessible immediately upon publication without any cost to readers or institutions. This policy ensures maximum visibility and impact for our authors' work.
3. Peer Review Policy
The journal operates a Double-Blind Peer Review system. Neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts based on originality, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field. The final decision rests with the Editorial Board, guided by the reviewers' recommendations.
4. Copyright Policy
Authors retain full copyright of their work. By publishing in BJEPS, authors grant the journal a license to publish and identify itself as the original publisher. Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing for unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
5. Authorship Policy
Authorship is strictly reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the study. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and that no ghost or guest authorship has occurred.
6. Author Self-Archiving Policy
BJEPS permits and encourages authors to deposit the final published PDF version of their articles in institutional repositories or personal/professional websites immediately after publication. This encourages transparency and facilitates wider dissemination of the research findings.
7. Plagiarism Policy
Academic integrity is our top priority. All submissions are rigorously screened using Turnitin.
-
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%.
-
Manuscripts found to have higher similarity rates or evidence of data fabrication will be rejected immediately.
-
Self-plagiarism (text recycling) is also monitored and must be kept to a minimum.
8. Conflict of Interest Policy
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, professional, or personal, that could be perceived as influencing their research. A clear statement of "No Conflict of Interest" is required if no such relationships exist.
9. Data Sharing Policy
To promote reproducibility and scientific transparency, BJEPS encourages authors to make their research data available. Authors should be prepared to provide access to the datasets supporting their results if requested by the editors or reviewers during the evaluation process.
10. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
BJEPS strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards.
-
Ethics: We do not tolerate fraudulent data, plagiarism, or redundant publication.
-
Malpractice: In cases of alleged misconduct, the journal will follow COPE flowcharts to investigate. If misconduct is proven, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections or retract the published article.
