Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between inflation and economic growth, represented by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), in Libya for the period from 2007 to 2022. The study assumes an inverse relationship between inflation and real GDP. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, using econometric tools and building a simple linear regression model using the (EViews) program. The results revealed that the statistical model was very weak, indicating that inflation is not the only variable affecting GDP in Libya, but there are other more influential factors such as fluctuations in oil production and prices and political conditions
